My Stars, 2006, pencil on paper, 38 x 50 " ( and source, details, studies)

An endless claustrophobic array of Siamese and mutant 'stars' is achieved through treating each section of the drawing as a separate entity and as a holistic problem.

This is centered on variations using only the graphic style and geometric pieces of a single original source material.

The act of transcending cycles of logic through complexity and variation become the pretense for the art
instead of creating "new" forms, ideas, or concepts.

Creating a tension of creativity

A wall of articulated organic noise completely foreign and outside of Escher's clear cut universe.

In this case we see the inevitability of landing more in entropy than elegance.
